Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people kept themselves entertained by watching various Indian movies online through well-known and reputed OTT platforms. Watching movies have enabled movie buffs and many other individuals to watch Telugu movies online that have gained plenty of recognition. Out of all the other movies, many films, such as Trance, gained the spotlight, and critics have praised the movie for its amazing story and performance of the actors and actresses. To know more about the movie, check the information below.
Trance is a psychological drama of the Malayalam language. Anwar Rasheed is the director and producer of the movie and written by Vincent Vaddakan. The characters of the film were portrayed by Fahadh Faasil, who played the main character. Nazriya Nazim, Dileesh Potham, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinayakan, and Gautham Menon played the supporting roles. The film’s cinematographer is Amal Neerad, music composed by Jackson Vijayan and Edited by Praveen Prabakar.
The movie is inspired by the life of a Kanyakumari-based despondent motivational speaker named Viju Prasad. Being a skeptic, Viju gets hired by a corporate body to play a Christian pastor’s role. But the stunts he pulls on live television puts the whole operation right under the scanner. The movie’s theme is completely based on the commercialization of spirituality, substance dependence, and religion.
Trance received plenty of positive reviews from the critics, thanks to Fahadh’s excellent performance, along with the screenplay, directing, and writing. The film doesn’t only give out the thriller vibe but also stays true to itself as a psychological drama. Fahadh Fassil’s acting was brilliant. His role as the cunning pastor was pretty convincing, which made the entire movie stand out.
Other actors and actresses, such as Dileesh Pothan, Nazriya Nazim, and Gautham Menon, portrayed their respective characters all too well. Since it’s a Malayalam-based movie, it was dubbed in many languages, making it easier for individuals across the nation to enjoy this particular movie. Rather than the songs, the background music made some of the scenes much more interesting, and they sounded beautiful.
Although the 1st-half of the movie was pretty good, when it came to the 2nd part, things started to lose steam right on the spot. The main flaw lies in what the pastor does during the interval block to the journalist. In reality, such silly crimes are not even committed by the mafia. It would be much better if the main character’s actions seem a bit more realistic and convincing, and less convoluted during the 2nd half of the film. The mafia and drugging segments are pretty much not leveraged to implement the audience with discernment of roller-coaster. The character Esther also stood out as another let-down. Things would’ve appeared better if she was introduced as something during the 1st half of the movie. But despite some flaws, the movie was excellent from all angles.
When it comes to watching movies, such as Trance, OTT platforms, such as AHA are the best to check out. You can check out a diverse range of movies and get to watch them without any interruption, advertisements, or errors in the middle. There are many latest Telugu movies online on aha app.
